Got a call at my workplace from this number. The guy wanted to talk to the former chairman. As soon as I said he wasn’t with us anymore, the caller just said no one else could assist and then ended the call. Quite strange!

A guy called David rang me up saying they’re conducting a survey nearby since the government wants to push energy efficiency for homes with windows older than 10 years. I only found this website now, so I don’t really know much about the company behind it. I’ve gone ahead and used BT’s service to block that number. Just a heads up, be cautious when you get cold calls and don’t let your guard down.

It’s astonishing how long this individual has managed to persist with their nuisance calls without anyone being able to put a stop to it. There seems to be no identifiable link to any company, so it’s quite possible that it’s just someone operating out of their own home. Since it’s based in Exeter, which isn’t too far from me, I picked up the phone. Unfortunately, it was clearly just a pushy sales tactic, reminiscent of the old-school “foot-in-the-door” salesmen, only now there are saleswomen in the mix too. I swiftly ended the call and added the number to my blocked list. I truly appreciate having call-blocking features on my phone; even though we’re signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, it’s still crucial to have tools in place to manage these bothersome calls.
