I called back the number but it didn’t look familiar at all, so I’m thinking it was most likely a scam.

I got a call from someone saying they're from Barclays fraud team, said there was a £400 payment on my card supposedly from Amazon. They kept asking for my full card details but I didn’t give anything. Seemed dodgy to me.

So, this bloke rang me up claiming he was from BT, saying my laptop had a virus - but I don’t even own a laptop! They kept phoning me three times and then started getting really rude. Quite a weird experience!

I picked up the phone and the person on the other end mentioned something about a connection fee. I didn’t stay on the line and just hung up straight away. The number started with 1471, not one I’m familiar with at all, seems like it could be a scam.
