8 yearsThey rang me two times within an hour. We usually screen our calls, but this time, as soon as the answerphone picked up, they just dropped the call.8 yearsGot a call from a lady with quite a strong Asian accent saying she was with BT tech support. She told me to check Google because apparently my internet wasn’t secure or something like that. I asked where she was calling from, which she couldn’t really answer, just kept insisting she was from BT. After a bit, she ended up hanging up on me. Quite strange!BTGoogle8 yearsGot this call from someone with a thick Indian accent saying they were from BT. I told them I was tied up and they just ended the call. Tried ringing back but the number didn't come up. Bet it was one of those spoofed ones. Sick of these annoying calls!8 yearsOn the 27th of March 2018, at about 12:07, I got a call from this number. The person on the line had a strong Indian accent and claimed to be from the BT department, talking about some issue with my browser. They asked if I could switch on my computer. I said no because it was updating. Then they said I should ring them back. I thought they’d just hang up, but the caller said her name was Susan Matthews (!) and gave me the ID1062, telling me to call back on 02032874596. I blocked the number straight away using BT Call Protect and made sure to report it to BT afterwards.Susan MatthewsBT8 yearsHad a call from a woman saying she was with BT’s IT team - sounded really dodgy to me. Pretty sure it was a scam, could be fraudsters trying something. Definitely not legit.BT IT8 yearsMy other half picked up and this guy said he was from BT tech support. My husband wasn’t having any of it and shot him down with “you’re not.” Next thing, the bloke just cuts off. These calls keep coming through all the time. Last time I checked with BT, they told me that even though the number looks like it’s from an Exeter landline, it isn’t really. Apparently, these scammers have some sort of gadget that fools your phone into thinking the call’s local. Proper sneaky little sods!BTExeterUKSubmit Your Own Report (01392 468124)
