01392458970 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 01392458970 👆 is reported as a persistent and unwanted cold caller frequently contacting individuals about financial claims, including mis-sold ISAs, bonds, investments, and PPI. Callers often adopt a polite tone but become intrusive, with repeated calls causing frustration and stress. Many report receiving multiple daily calls despite being registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) or asking to be removed from lists. The calls sometimes come from a Devon or Exeter area code, though some describe call centre background noise. Efforts to block the number help reduce nuisance, but voicemail spamming and silent calls remain issues. While not overtly rude, the persistence and aggressive calling times make this number best avoided or blocked to prevent harassment.

emcas or something like that, was hard to get any details. rang me about mortgages but i told them i don't have one. then they started asking about my job situation, i said i wasn’t comfortable sharing anything else. the person sounded clearly English, which made me think the area code was legit and not one of those fake ones ppl use nowadays. it was an unasked for cold call, but they were polite enough.

This number keeps ringing me nonstop. Surely there’s a way to put a stop to these calls considering how many folks are getting them. I don’t get why the phone providers don’t just block them already.

Nice young guy from Emcas Financial Claims called about bonds, investments, and ISAs. I told him no thanks and asked to have my number taken off their list. He was polite and said goodbye without any fuss.

They kept ringing me a few times, but I had no clue why someone from Exeter would be calling me, so I figured it must be some sort of scam. Now I’ve just blocked the number.

Nice enough bloke, asking about money stuff and offering some legal assistance, but with a fee, to help get back cash from bad sales and such. Definitely better to skip this cold call.

This number keeps leaving these super quick voicemail beeps that barely say anything. It’s really annoying and feels like a waste of my time and credit, plus it means I might miss something important because my voicemail is clogged up. I can’t answer their calls at work since I have no reception, so I can’t even ask them to stop calling. Is this even allowed? Is there any way to get them legally to back off?

I checked the number here and blocked it, but now they keep leaving these 1 minute long voicemails with just hold music. Annoying cause my call reject still sends them straight to voicemail :(

Nice enough bloke with an English accent asking about my savings and if I’d be interested in financial advice. Clearly got my info from some other source. I ended the call there, was easy enough to do. He said goodbye politely - probably harmless, not a scammer, but I wouldn’t bother answering or ringin them back if you want to dodge these sorts of calls.

Had a call come through earlier, I answered but there was just silence on the other end. Seems they weren’t keen on having a chinwag with me! I reckon they might attempt to ring again. In the meantime, I’m more than happy to draw out their time-wasting antics. My personal best for stringing one of these calls along is an impressive ninety minutes. Can’t help but chuckle at the thought of them being held up whilst trying to bother someone else!

He initially tried chatting about PPI, but as soon as I told him it wasn’t relevant, he switched to banging on about ISAs. That’s when I just ended the call. Guess what? The cheeky bugger rang me right back again!

I keep getting calls from this number almost every single day, and whenever I pick up, there’s nobody on the other end. Honestly, why doesn't the government do something to put an end to these annoying calls?

Got a ring from them this evening. Lucky that call display's on so I could just ignore those annoying lot. I've signed up for the TPS and have reported loads of firms to the ICO. Never heard back and they just keep ringing anyway. Bet if you talked back harshly to them, you'd be the one in trouble!

This company has rung me around four times now, each call from a different person yet they all spin the same tale about a stocks and shares ISA I supposedly have. Fact is, I've never opened one. They claim they got my details from forms I filled out, which I definitely haven't. I've told them I’m on the TPS, and one caller even said they'd remove me from their list, but the phone’s still ringing with their calls.

This number keeps ringing me several times daily, like up to four times. When I finally picked up their call a couple weeks ago, the bloke said I supposedly ‘filled out a form’ about some investments I supposedly made? I haven’t had any investments for over three years now, since I retired and sold them off. He admitted they buy databases and just cold call people from them. I’m on the TPS too, so not sure why they keep bothering me.

I keep getting calls every day from this number, and they always say a version of my name that sounds really Asian. They used to ring around lunch, but now it's more like teatime. It’s really annoying, especially since we’re on the TPS list - doesn’t seem to stop them at all.

These annoying calls keep coming through all the time. I finally got one of those call blockers put in, and now whenever I spot their number or even a hidden one, I just hit the block straight away. Feels really good to stop them dead in their tracks.

This number keeps ringing me, twice yesterday they called. I answered once and a woman was on the line, she mentioned wanting to talk to my husband. Then a man rang so I ended the call. Just now another guy phoned and when I told him my husband wasn’t home and to stop calling, he just said he’d call back later! Proper annoying.

I managed to find some info about them. Their website is emcas.co.uk and they go by EMC Advisory Services Ltd. Their company registration number is 4859586 and they’re listed under Claims Management Regulator number CRM 1768. They’re based at 38-40 Palace Avenue in Paignton, Devon, postcode TQ3 3HE. You can give them a ring on 01803 697530 for general enquiries. If you need to contact their press officer, Katy De Looze, the number is 01392 353645. Oh, and there’s also a free number: 0800 093 4309.

Yet another robocall pest hitting my landline almost every few days. They keep telling me something about new laws that might let me wipe out debts up to around £10,000 if I qualify, and all I have to do is press 5. Seems like a sneaky way to make money from people. I don’t want or need any of their rubbish and certainly never gave permission for this constant annoyance. There’s no option to opt out or block these calls, which is so frustrating. When will the authorities step in and start fining or jailing those behind these relentless Robocall scams? These machines totally ruin the phone experience with their greedy, automated nonsense. Oh, and here’s how I managed to stop PPI sales calls and even reclaimed £195 from them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1CYsvXKda4

These calls always come at the worst possible moment, it’s really annoying. I picked up one time and they said it was from this company called Emcas. When I told them I’d never heard of it and asked what it was about, they said it’s regulated by the Ministry of Justice. That was enough for me, I just said I wasn't interested and ended the call.
