Today I got a call on my home phone. I picked up but there was total silence on the other end, so I stayed quiet too. After about 20 seconds, the line just dropped. I’ve been getting lots of calls from different numbers about supposed card fraud, but it’s always a scam. Even when I block one number, another pops up soon after.

It was one of those recorded calls about credit cards, but I quickly realised it was a scammer from overseas trying to con me out of my money.

They said they were from Virgin Media but as soon as I asked any questions, the person started cursing at me. I just ended the call right away.
