I got a call telling me that £300 had been taken from my Amazon account and now they wanted another £1000. They said to press 1 if I wanted to approve it or 3 to talk to someone about my finances. I just ended the call straight away.

Noticed some weird withdrawals from my bank so I rang the number they gave to report it.

Just got another call from those same scammers in India. The automated voice claimed to be from "Direct Line Insurance" about a £500 payment charged to my card for a policy. When I pressed 1 to cancel, the message repeated, then some confused sounding guy answered saying, "Thank you for calling Bank Security." I asked him straight up if it was Direct Line or Bank Security, and he said Bank Security. I pointed out that banks usually handle card security online during purchases, so why would they call me? He just ended the call abruptly.
