I received a call purportedly from BT Openreach, and the chap on the other end had a distinctly Indian accent. He claimed there were issues with my BT service-mind you, I don’t even subscribe to BT! I asked him to provide me with his contact number, to which he was rather hesitant at first. Eventually, he gave me an 0800 number, which I promptly tried while he was still on the line. To my surprise, it turned out to be invalid. When I confronted him about this, the lad simply ended the call. The number that appeared on my caller ID was an 01392, and it seems I can’t reach it when attempting to return the call. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
