When my call blocker picked up, I just hung up straight away so I'm guessing it was probably a scammer.

Some bloke claimed to be from BT Openreach, but that can’t be right since those two have been separate ages now. The call sounded like it came from some call centre in India. They started going on about issues with my internet connection and wanting me to do checks. Once I said I knew it was a scam, they just cut me off. I’m sure they were trying to get my personal details or maybe remote into my PC at some point.

So my phone buzzed with a number I didn’t recognise. I picked up and said “hello,” but got nothing back straight away. After a short pause, someone finally said “hello” too. I said “hello” again and then they just cut the call. Pretty sure it was some sort of scam. I’ve blocked the number now.

got a call from someone saying they were from BT, telling me my phone line was gonna be cut off and i'd lose internet forever! their english was really bad and they had a strong Asian accent. they then asked to speak to a supervisor to fix the problem. felt a bit dodgy to me.
