I've had just about enough of these pesky telemarketers!

I recently had a rather dodgy experience with a group posing as the Microsoft support team. They had the distinct Indian accent and were keen to assist me in resolving some so-called issues with my computer from afar. In reality, their true intent was to deceitfully obtain remote access to my system. Quite a nerve, if you ask me!

These lot ring me up all the time. Lately, they’ve been telling me they’re with Microsoft. I did cheekily ask if they were actually from Gamma Telecom Holdings, and obviously they denied it. Usually, I don’t really mind the chats since they aren’t annoying anyone else who might get caught by their scams. At one point, I told them I didn’t buy the Microsoft story, and now they claim they’re calling from Windows instead.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Microsoft, saying there was a problem with my PC. I told him sounded like a typical scam and just ended the call. No sooner had I done that, he rang me back straight away, accusing me of backing scammers and warning they'd lock my computer. Then he said I needed to visit some local address to fix it, which he never actually mentioned. I just hung up again. Luckily, my computer’s still fine so far.

Got a call just as the clock hit 8 in the morning. Didn’t bother to leave a voicemail or anything. Just ended up being a complete pointless intrusion.

I got a call from a lady claiming my computer had issues. I called her out straight away, saying she was trying to scam me and asked how many folks she’d tricked so far today. She actually admitted to scamming hundreds! I told her she ought to feel bad and then ended the call. She had an accent that made me think she might be from somewhere in Asia.

Another complete time waster with no proper job, probably living off benefits too. He called claiming he was from Microsoft, but I told him to jog on! What a waste of time!
