I picked up the phone, said hi and the person on the other end just said goodbye. Weirdest call ever.

Total scam, don’t trust it.

This number rings me daily, despite my attempts to block it. Somehow, it still manages to get through. Each time, they insist on speaking to my late wife, who, regrettably, is no longer with us. The call always ends abruptly.

Just got annoyed by yet another cold call.

Looks like it might be one of those dodgy energy scams I've been seeing around. They didn’t even leave a voicemail.

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise but couldn’t pick up.

Got a missed call from a number, thought it might be linked to this place I’m trying to move into near Exeter. So, I called back. The lady was speaking, but I couldn’t catch much of it - something about me having some sort of claim or entitlement. I asked her to repeat herself, then she wanted to speak to the homeowner. I told her no cheers and ended the call. Have blocked the number now.

I answered the phone and there was nothing but silence for a moment, then some automated voice just said "goodbye" and hung up. Looks like they were just verifying if the number was active on their spam list. Blocked straight away.

The moment I saw it flagged as a possible scam, I hung up straight away. But then they decided to call back right after, so I thought I’d give it a little longer before ending the call once more. Wouldn’t you know it, they rang me again almost straight away! In the end, I just let the phone ring and, thankfully, it seemed to register with them that I wasn't interested!

As soon as the call showed up flagged as possible scam, I ended it straight away. They called back right away though, so the next time I waited a bit before hanging up. Then they rang straight back again, but that time I just let it ring off until they stopped. Luckily, they finally got the hint that I wasn’t gonna pick up!

As soon as I saw the call come through, I knew it had the hallmarks of a scam, so I hung up right away. Remarkably, they rang me back straight away, but I chose to let it slide for a spell before hanging up once more. They then tried me again almost at once, so I decided to let it buzz through and, thankfully, they finally seemed to take the hint that time!

Scammers typically don’t pick up the phone, do they?

They called me about some kind of energy survey, but it felt totally dodgy. Definitely a scam in my opinion.

I received a call recently where the person on the other end seemed to know my name, and right away they inquired if I was the owner of the property. Upon my response of 'no', they promptly thanked me and hung up. Strangely, they didn't bother to ask for my details to follow up - just mentioned something about checking my eligibility for a complimentary energy assessment. The background noise was quite distracting; it sounded like a bustling marketplace with chatter all around. The lady who rang had a noticeable African accent, and there was no formal introduction or mention of the company she represented. Quite peculiar, to say the least!

Definitely a scam, wouldn't trust it for a second.
