Somebody called me about roof insulation, seemed pretty legit at first but I told them it wasn’t even my property. After that, I got a bit suspicious, and now I think it was a scam. I’ve blocked the number and reported it just in case!

Been getting calls for about 4 years now from Indian scammers. They always use a bunch of different UK numbers and keep asking for "Sao Paulo" every time, so I’m pretty sure it’s the same lot behind it all. They’re using voip or something to keep changing numbers. Really annoying!

The loft insulation looked alright at first, but I had a gut feeling something was off. Good thing I decided to double-check. They promised to ring me back within an hour, but that never happened - maybe because I mentioned you can’t actually stand upright up in my loft!

This guy called claiming to be some sort of energy expert in my area. He tried to get me interested in a free loft check, saying a lot of folks have old insulation that needs updating. I told him straight away I already know what's up there - I put the insulation in myself over 30 years ago when we first moved in. He kept going on about how most people don’t know what insulation they’ve got. Had to be firm with him a couple times before he finally ended the call.

At around 12:15, I got a phone call from a guy named Luke, who said he was an energy advisor. The call came through a VoIP number, something like 01392321666, but when I answered, it was just a recorded message. Very dodgy if you ask me.
