Got a call on my home phone and tried using who called me to figure it out, but both times it showed different names. I then called the number from my mobile and the answerphone message said “Thank you for ringing LIC,” which isn’t the same company that either lookup showed. Bit confusing, honestly.

I got a call from someone named 'Lauren' who said they were calling from Exeter, offering a free survey for loft insulation. It sounded a bit off so I ended the call. Immediately after, they rang me back, with 'Lauren' passing me to 'Christopher', who claimed to be her manager and said they were located at The Old Station Road Whiddon Valley Industrial Estate Barnstaple EX32 8PB. I tried looking up this place and found nothing related to loft insulation around here or on Google Maps. They then asked for 'Stacey' to ring back later to set up a survey, which seemed quite dodgy. When I called the number myself, a recorded message said I’d reached LCC and my call was important, but after a while the line just ended with a “Goodbye”. No way are we letting anyone come around. I’d be really cautious about this one.
