this number 02086425483 called me saying it's bt openreach and that my internet was slow. the guy sounded like he was just reading off a script, so i knew it was a scam. i’ve gone ahead and blocked them now.

Yet again, some bloke with an Indian accent rings me up claiming he's from BT wanting to chat about my Openreach router - straight to the blocked list they go!

Had a call from someone claiming to be BT Openreach, telling me to download this Quick Support app. Turns out it spies on your phone and can grab your passwords and all that. They rang me again just a few mins ago, so fingers crossed they didn’t manage to nick anything from my phone last time. Nearly got caught out since I just switched my broadband and landline number recently.
