Got a call out of nowhere right when I was busy at work.

The phone just stopped ringing without any message on the voicemail. It's like those other calls I've had from loads of numbers like 01382229740, 01382752021, 01382755107, 01382787196, 01382827963, 01383690107, 01384176888, 01384623563, 01384832276, 01388854295, 01389210765, 01390757318, 01391195464, 01395278369 & 01397975146. They just ring once or twice then hang up straight away.

I got a call from someone who said she was local and wanted to help me save on heating bills. She kept asking if I was the homeowner, but I never gave her an answer. I think her name was Holly or maybe Polly. Really don’t need these annoying calls, so I’ve just blocked the number.

I received a rather dubious call today from a woman who sounded quite upper-crust, introducing herself as Holly and touting some sort of energy efficiency evaluation. She dropped the name Octopus Energy, but I’ve got serious doubts about their involvement-it’s almost certainly a scam. Regardless, I’m on the TPS list and shouldn’t have been contacted in the first place. The whole experience felt like I was conversing with a basic AI; I toyed with it for a bit by giving it absurd responses until it finally decided to terminate the conversation on its own, leaving no apology. I’ve now blocked the number and reported it to the ICO.

Got a voicemail from a posh voice claiming to be Holly, talking about some energy-saving check. They threw Octopus Energy into the convo, but I doubt it was legit - feels like a scam to me. Either way, they shouldn’t have rung me up, I’m on the TPS list. The whole thing sounded like a bot, trying to respond to what I said. I gave it some silly replies just to mess about, and it eventually cut off without even saying sorry. Blocked the number and sent a report to the ICO.

Got a call from some boiler scammers claiming to be from India but using a UK number. When I asked which part of Dumbarton they were in, the guy just started swearing and then cut me off. Proper rude move!

A lady with quite a posh English accent called me, sounded like it might have been a recording at first, but she actually responded when I talked back. Got a call earlier today but since we’ve got BT Call Blocker and the number wasn’t saved in our contacts, the phone never even rang. They didn’t identify themselves when they rang, so we couldn’t choose to answer, and they didn’t leave any voicemail either, which always makes us think it’s dodgy.
