Got a call at 7:21 this morning and as soon as I picked up, all I heard was a beep followed by a recorded voice saying ‘goodbye’. Proper weird.

Got a call at 9 this morning from an unknown number. It was just a quick, garbled message that made no sense to me at all. No clue who it was.

I can't believe they rang me at 8.11am, woke me up right in the middle of my sleep!

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying he’s ringing from BT Openreach. He started telling me my internet would be patchy for the next half hour whilst they did some upgrades. Claimed their engineers were sorting out issues at our exchange and that all broadband relies on Openreach. I later found out mine doesn’t use them at all. He asked me to turn on my PC so he could link me up with their tech support to ‘activate’ the upgrade. That’s when I sussed it was a dodgy scam and just cut the call. Who knows what he might’ve done to my computer if I’d let it go on.

I got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming he was with BT Openreach. He said there were some issues at the exchange affecting my internet and asked me to check how many lights were blinking on my router. I wasn’t convinced and told him I’d check with my actual internet provider first, then ended the call. Pretty sure it was a dodgy scam.

Got a call from some dodgy bloke with an Indian accent saying he was from BT Openreach in London - but his number had a Dumbarton code, which was weird. When I asked why they were still running this scam, he just cut me off straight away.
