Had a missed call in the afternoon, but no message left on the voicemail like always... wasn’t about to pick up anyway!

Picked up the phone and all I could hear was some call centre noise before they just hung up. When I rang back, it was this "solutions" firm going on about government rules and writing off debts. I told the bloke on the other end that it was daft to ring, hang up without saying a word when someone answers, and to stop wasting our time. His response? "Can't be arsed." Seriously professional stuff! I didn’t shout or anything, just said they should at least speak if someone actually bothers to pick up the phone. Just another useless company pushing services about debt write-offs that we could manage ourselves without forking out to clueless staff.
