Somebody rang me saying they were from Amazon and warned that my Prime membership would be cancelled unless I paid extra fees. I just ended the call straight away. Then I phoned the official Amazon support to check, and they confirmed it was all a load of rubbish and warned me to watch out for these sorts of scams.

This number rang me up with one of those robotic voices, saying that my Amazon Prime subscription would renew automatically for £39.99 each month. They said to “press 1” if I wanted to talk to someone about it. The funny thing is, I don’t even have an Amazon Prime account! I just ended the call straight away. I reckon this is one of those dodgy numbers that charge you a fortune, like over £300 just for picking up. Watch out for these!
