I got a recorded call claiming to be from Ofcom, saying they found fraudulent activity on my internet and threatened to cut off my service. They then told me to press a number to be connected to BT. When I dialled 1471, it showed this number, but it definitely wasn’t Ofcom or BT. I’ve since passed this on to BT’s fraud team for them to check it out. Sounds like a total scam, so watch out!

I received a suspicious automated call from this number claiming to be from Ofcom. They alleged that my internet service had been hacked and threatened to terminate my service provider. They instructed me to press a number to connect with BT. I can assure you, this is not a legitimate call from Ofcom or BT; it's clearly a scam. I've already reported this to BT's fraud department for further investigation.
