Got a call from someone claiming to be the bank, saying there was some suspicious activity on my account. They tried to rush me into moving money into an account they gave me. Definitely a scam, just trying to trick you into sending cash.

I just got off the phone with my 85-year-old father, who received a call from someone claiming to be from a national crime group. They told him there was an issue with his bank account. He insisted that I was the one who handled all his finances. If anyone has any information about these characters or where they might be located, please do share. I’d really like to have a word with those scoundrels in person!

Got a call from someone saying they had to put money back into my account because it had been stolen by scammers. They asked for my account details, but it was definitely a scam, so watch out!

This morning, I was on the receiving end of a phone call from a chap with a foreign accent, claiming to be from the Bank of Scotland and eager to chat about my account. I had my doubts about his motives, especially since I’m well aware that proper representatives from the bank wouldn't go about things this way. In no uncertain terms, I told him to remove himself from my line. He then threatened to put a block on my account, which is absolutely preposterous! After the call, I promptly rang my actual bank to verify and, unsurprisingly, they confirmed it was a dodgy call - clearly a scam of some sort. Just a heads-up to everyone out there who might find themselves in a similar situation!

On 19/01/2017, my elderly mum got a call from this number claiming to be from Barclays. The woman said her name was Michelle Kennedy and she had an African accent. She asked for her bank details about some supposed fraud. After checking with Barclays directly, we found out it was definitely a scam!
