When I confirmed, there was a pause, and then they mentioned a surname that didn't belong to me, asking if that was indeed my identity. I replied no, of course. It struck me as rather strange that this random caller knew my first name, especially considering they rang me from an area code linked to my childhood, yet I’ve since moved away. Quite the puzzler, isn’t it?
