Got a call from someone pretending to be Sky. I told them I didn’t think Sky did unsolicited calls and right away they cut the line. Seems like a dodgy scam to me.

I got a call claiming to be from Sky Maintenance about renewing some two-year contract. I said I hadn't heard anything about it, then they said they’d connect me to a senior rep. Next thing, I get a bloke with an Asian accent saying it was to do with a maintenance deal for my Sky box and TV. As soon as I said I didn’t know about any service contract like that, they just ended the call. Bit odd if you ask me.

Oh, these were defo scammers. I heard that "hold for a moment while we connect" bit, which is a classic scammer trick. Just ignore and hang up straight away, they're only after your time.

I’m registered with the TPS, so I shouldn't be getting calls like this. The caller was an Asian bloke but had a very English sounding first and last name, which was odd. Turned out to be some Sky insurance scam. As soon as I called him out on it, he just hung up.
