I’m rather curious about the identity of the caller. They jumped right in with, “you’re still the homeowner,” in a rather brash manner when I mentioned I was with someone. It was all a bit odd as they didn’t bother with a proper introduction, so I’m left in the dark about which company they represent.

Home Energy...SERIOUSLY!! He starts off by asking how I am, and I said NOT GOOD AT ALL, CAN YOU NOT TELL WITH MY HOARSE VOICE!!!!! I’ve got zero voice cause of this awful flu. Then he goes "I will ring you back when you’re feeling better"!!!! WHAT??!!! Don’t doctors usually tell you that, mate?!!! If I could shout I would be going mad!!!!!!!

Just answered a call from someone saying he was Paul, had a Glaswegian accent. He wouldn’t stop jabberin’ long enough to hear me out. I had to tell him to shut up and listen. I said I’m on the TPS list, so he shouldn’t be phoning me. He shot back with "Ah but this ain’t a cold call" and carried on with his spiel. I had to tell him to pipe down again. Then I asked if he dealt with council tenants, he went quiet for a bit and then said NO. I told him he best hang up, wished him a good afternoon and ended the call.

The caller claimed to be from British Gas and wanted to talk to Mr Fox, who's my stepson. He asked if I got my gas and electric from British Gas or some other company like Scottish Power or Eon. When I said that if he was truly from British Gas he’d already know who my supplier is, he got really annoyed and started yelling at me over the phone, asking who my supplier was. His English wasn’t great, sounded like he might be Asian.

Workplace call centre - I answered the phone and could hear a guy chatting to a teammate, but as soon as I said something, he shut me down straight away. I received a call from someone who claimed they wanted to speak to the homeowner-my mother, who's currently in hospital and quite unwell. I requested that they take our number off their list, but they insisted they'd ring back. It's incredibly frustrating, to say the least, as every time the phone goes, we jump, fearing it’s news from the hospital.

I don’t see how fascias relates to heating at all. They got quite rude when they found out I wasn’t interested. I’m registered with the TPS.

Got a call from someone claiming they had funds from the Scottish government to improve my windows. I said fine, I won't be paying though. He then said I needed to pay something. I asked if he was actually selling windows, he said no. I kept him on the line for like 20 minutes, going on about how my windows were 20 years old and I had 40 of them. That seemed to catch his attention. Eventually, I told him I was just messing with him, and he got pretty annoyed and rude. Told him to shove off.

This number called me and the bloke was really insistent. He kept asking me loads of questions. I asked him who he was and why he was asking. He said something about 'Thermal Phones' and that he wasn’t trying to sell me anything. I then asked if he was offering anything for free. He said no, but that he wanted to ask questions to check if I 'qualified' for something. I asked what on earth I could qualify for. He just kept saying I should answer the questions. I told him I’m not going to let some stranger grill me like that.
