just got a call from a polite sounding guy. i asked him why he kept making these calls and he just said ‘what?’, then when i mentioned something about a car accident, he went quiet and ended the call. i wonder when these annoying calls will finish, wish the police would take proper action against them.

I received a rather curious call regarding a supposed accident I was involved in over the past year and a half. I mentioned that I had lost a limb in the incident and, after a rather intense court case where I, let’s say, took matters into my own hands with the other driver by sending them over a bridge, I was awarded a whopping £3 million. The judge, rather astonishingly, claimed my actions were entirely warranted. To my amazement, he promptly ended the call! How odd!

Just like loads of folks here, I'm getting more and more annoying calls lately. It's pretty clear some company got hold of a huge list of phone numbers and mine ended up on there. I never pick up if I don’t know the number, it's just not worth it.

It feels like this problem is just getting worse and worse. In a very short time, I’ve been bombarded with calls from all sorts of numbers. Every day, I reckon I get about 4 to 6 calls from various landlines, not counting the dodgy mobile numbers as well. These are definitely scammers, I’m sure of it. Honestly, it’s mad to think how many folks must be working on this, can’t be just a couple of jokers sat in their bedrooms. Anyway, here’s another weird call from someone who clearly can’t speak properly!

This is the second time this week ive gotten a call from a Dumfries phone number. I blocked the first one after they were chatting about some insurance claim, didnt want to take any risks so now ive blocked this new number too. Not messing about with these calls!

This afternoon, I got a call where the bloke didn’t say who he was at all. He kept asking if I was a Mr Drum. I used that name ages ago on some online form to get free stuff, just some made-up name. So I knew straight away it was dodgy. I told him my number’s on the telephone preference service, but he didn’t seem to bother. Kept pestering me about being Mr Drum. I told him to mind his own business before he suddenly cut me off. I’ve blocked the number since then.

Not sure if it’s just me, but since January I’ve been getting way more calls from unknown numbers. The phone buzzes a couple of times and then there’s nothing - dead silent.
