Got a call from someone claiming to be a heating firm nearby. The number looked local, so I picked up. She went on about some government heating funding stuff, but I told her I wasn’t interested. Then, I rang the local council to check and they said it’s probably a scam because she tried calling their number and it didn’t work! They mentioned the government would normally use a free 0800 number anyway.
