Received a call from someone who sounded like they could be from India or Pakistan, inquiring about a business that I don’t possess. I decided to end the conversation promptly. The call came through at half past ten in the morning on the 28th of June, 2023.

Just a couple of minutes later, my phone rang again, but the moment I responded, the line went silent. It seems like they're preying on vulnerable older folks with this scam, perhaps assuming I wouldn't engage.

It was a right nuisance of a call. This woman rang me, asking if I "owned" the number she dialled. It seemed to be something to do with repair insurance for televisions, and she was rattling off some monthly fees. When she mentioned she was representing Reliable Appliances, I quickly declared my lack of interest to wrap things up.
