I'm receiving incessant automated calls from this number multiple times daily. We have zero debts and this number is one that we've only just handed out to a select few. What steps can we take to put an end to these bothersome calls?

PRIVATE NOTICE FOR (my surname and initial): Kindly reach out to Capital Resolve at 01386 719130 and mention the reference number (some 6-digit code). They’ve dispatched a peculiar package to me, and I’m a bit apprehensive about opening it. I’m likely to pop down to the Post Office for some guidance on what to do with it.

This number incessantly calls and when I pick up, it just directs me to a voicemail asking me to press 9 for a callback. Alas, no one ever gets back to me!

I've been inundated with calls from Capital Resolve, and it's beginning to wear me down. They keep urging me to ring them back, but the lack of any specific information has left me feeling quite uneasy. It just seems rather suspicious to me – why can't they provide more details?

It's baffling that the authorities aren't stepping in, particularly given the menacing demands and threats of violence that have been highlighted on this platform and others. Surely, such behaviour is against the law, isn't it? One can't help but wonder why this situation is being permitted to continue unchecked. What on earth is happening?

I got a rather puzzling letter from Capital Resolve, suggesting that I have an outstanding debt with a Credit Reference Agency. However, it contained scant details, just a phone number and a website link. Quite baffling, to say the least!

I've been receiving numerous phone calls lately from an automated system. They always mention my name correctly and reference some kind of number, yet I’ve not reached out to them due to the fact that I don’t owe anything. I haven’t received any correspondence either, so it all feels a bit dodgy, if you ask me.

I keep receiving these automated calls daily, and it’s always some random person's name along with their phone number and a reference number. I can assure you, I owe absolutely nothing. They can keep ringing away, and I’ll keep answering just to let them cover the costs – serves them right! Honestly, I wouldn't suggest that anyone try calling them back.

I keep getting these automated calls daily, all at a similar hour. They don't have my name, nor do they have any of my debts. I refuse to call them back, but I'm more than happy to pick up the phone when their message comes through—let them deal with the expense! Generally, I avoid responding and definitely won’t be doing any research on their underhanded strategies online.

Could this number possibly be associated with a scam?

Indeed, it appears this outfit operates as a genuine debt recovery agency. It seems that they’ve been handed over some outstanding debts that you might be responsible for. If you pop over to their website, capitalresolve.com, you'll find a wealth of information regarding your account once you've signed up. They persistently send texts, emails, and make phone calls — they certainly don’t take no for an answer!

I recently received a letter from a chap named Lewis Russell, supposedly at Fountain Court, Vale Park, Evesham, WR11 1LS. This letter includes the same phone number, 01386 425400, and from what we can gather, it’s connected to some form of tracing agency. Personally, we have no plans to engage with this correspondence and would strongly recommend that others do the same. However, the choice is entirely yours.

Received a rather dubious phone call from this number, where the caller requested my name and claimed I had an outstanding debt. Curiously, they refused to disclose any information about the supposed creditor unless I revealed my name and bank details first. Naturally, I insisted that I don't owe a penny to anyone and outright refused to share any banking information. The call abruptly ended as they hung up on me. It's blatantly clear this is a scam!

My mate received a letter dated 20th November 2009, but here's the kicker—she doesn’t owe a single penny, doesn't have any credit cards, and, to top it all off, she doesn’t even reside at the address the letter was sent to! We’re convinced it’s nothing but a scam. Honestly, the only fitting destination for that letter was the rubbish bin.

I had a missed call on my mobile from this number, so I decided to return the call. A bloke picked up on the other end. I mentioned that he should ring me back on my mobile because my credit is rather limited, seeing as I’m on pay-as-you-go. I didn’t share any personal information with him. He assured me he’d look into my details and get back to me. But would you believe it? He never called me back!

Earlier today, we received a rather concerning letter from this company, marking it as private and confidential. We’re quite eager to get in touch with them as soon as possible! To be honest, we hope this turns out to be a hoax because, to the best of our knowledge, we don't owe anyone any money. We’re utterly baffled as to who these individuals are and how they managed to obtain our address! It seems they want us to call the exact same number listed. If anyone else has had any dealings with them, please do share your experiences. Your comments have certainly eased our minds a bit! Cheers!

I recently received a rather dodgy letter purporting to be from Virgin Media, claiming I have an outstanding debt. Quite absurd, really, as I owe nothing! I can't help but think this is a scam linked to a phone line operation. While the website does appear to be operational, it seems one could lodge a complaint with the ombudsman. What's more suspicious is that the letter lacks any proper signatures, and the company logo in the bottom right corner—marked CSA—looks thoroughly shoddy. It’s definitely raised some alarms for me!

I can’t believe what just happened! Our neighbour received a letter from Lewis Russell, evidently trying to track down our son, who hasn't resided here for ages. They actually expect us to get in touch with their office to provide details about our son’s whereabouts? Honestly, that’s a rather outrageous method of conducting business. Writing to someone who doesn’t possess any information about another individual's private affairs is quite appalling if you ask me. I'm simply tossing the letter straight into the bin where it belongs!

Seems like I've stumbled upon a debt collection firm of sorts. They seem to have taken a liking to nudging me with calls and texts every few days, urging me to give them a ring and mention some case number. Curiously, I rang them back to clarify that I have no outstanding debts, and wouldn’t you know it, the chap on the other end turned quite irate. He even went so far as to threaten to "pop round" to my residence and "seize my belongings." Quite amused by his bravado, I merely chuckled, reminded him of my three black belts in martial arts, and playfully dared him to give it a go before hanging up. Lately, I've resorted to employing a blacklist app on my mobile, and thankfully I'm now free from those enigmatic Evesham nuisances. Cheers - E

I recently received a letter from this company insisting that I owe them money, which is quite baffling as I have no debts whatsoever. This week, I've received a couple of voicemails on my landline from this number, one on Thursday and another on Friday, urging me to ring back and mention a reference number: 563907. The messages have a rather mechanical tone, which raises my eyebrows, as the only folks who normally have my landline details are close family. After doing a bit of digging online, I discovered that this number is associated with a firm named Capital Resolve, which seems to operate as a debt collection or tracing agency. Other individuals reporting similar experiences mentioned being quizzed about their neighbours (which suggests a tracing operation) or being pressured for bank details (indicative of debt collection). Since I have no debts and am not keen on sharing private information about my neighbours with strangers, I've decided to block this number altogether. I genuinely suspect it's a scam, and if I receive any more of these calls, I’ll not hesitate to inform the authorities.

Earlier on, a rather puzzling letter arrived at our place from some folks named Lewis Russell. They seemed to be expressing regret for intruding and were seeking information about a previous resident who used to live next door several years back. Oddly enough, the letter mentioned that all their prior attempts to reach the intended recipient had bounced back unopened. Curious enough, the envelope was addressed to "the occupier," yet clearly stamped as personal and confidential! After discussing it with my wife, I opted to tear it up and toss it away. What a cheeky lot these people are!

I’m persistently receiving bothersome calls from this number. They seem to ring only three times before hanging up, or they send texts demanding that I get in touch with them. It’s becoming quite the nuisance and feels like harassment at this point. Is there any way to put a stop to this?

I’m absolutely fed up with the incessant calls and messages from these numbers, and I can’t for the life of me figure out the reason behind it. Is there anyone I can reach out to in order to put an end to this nuisance?

What a clear-cut scam! If you pick up, you're greeted by a pre-recorded voice urging you to ring them back… how sneaky! I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a premium rate number as well. They likely just dial up random digits, banking on the off chance that someone will return the call, and that’s when they attempt to fleece you. It’s a tactic that seems all too common these days! There’s been plenty of chatter online about these dodgy callers. Nice attempt, though! The caller's name: Capital Resolve.

Cheers, everyone! We're just on the verge of making a call after spotting this information. Thankfully, we’re free of any debts, so it’s puzzling how these folks managed to get hold of our private details. We're seriously considering going to the police about it. I've been inundated with calls from the same bunch, all asking after our son. To make matters worse, my sister - who lives elsewhere - got a rather concerning letter from them too. They claim it’s urgent, but not to fret. I decided to ring them up, hoping for clarity, but they were utterly vague, citing privacy concerns. It doesn’t help that our son, who's been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, is quite difficult to pin down. After sifting through similar comments earlier today, it seems like the consensus is that this stinks of a scam or some sort of phishing attempt.
