So this lady called from something like Insurance Advice Group, said they were calling to help stop scam calls coming my way. But it’s all a load of rubbish! Basically, they try to trick you into making a claim through them, then they take a whopping 25% cut of whatever money you get back. I spoke to my insurance broker afterwards, and he said if you go down this route, your insurer will just hike up your premiums in the end until you’ve paid them back. Total con if you ask me.
