I've been getting persistent calls from an automated system, and it's becoming rather tiresome. To be honest, I haven't shared my landline number with anyone, so I’m quite baffled as to how they're getting hold of it. If this doesn’t stop soon, I’ll have to resort to blocking the number altogether.

I received a call but missed it, and they left a voicemail that was only half complete. I suspect it's from Sky's debt collection team, owing to a recent trouble I had while trying to cancel my subscription. They didn't quite grasp that I had set up a new account to take over the old one. I've gone ahead and blocked their number now.

It's quite common for these agencies to possess outdated or incorrect details, leading them to reach out to individuals who aren't even relevant to the account they're chasing.
