Got a call from a man with an Asian accent saying he was from BT. He warned me my service would be cut-off if I didn’t do what he told me. I asked him for a BT account number to prove he was legit, but he just got rude and started shouting. Pretty sure this was a scam trying to get my personal info. Definitely not BT.

Got a call off 01384 924 721, some bloke named Brian claiming to be from Virgin Media, saying there was an issue with my internet. I asked what on earth Virgin Media wanted with my broadband, and the line just went dead silent. I ended the chat by chatting in some old-fashioned English just for laughs, but I’m not sure if the caller was still there or had hung up.

I've been bombarded with these irritating and straight up annoying calls lately. Whether they’re from BT Broadband or any other provider, they really oughta have a way to block these nuisance calls, whether robotic or not. It drives me mad! But knowing BT and those other companies, they probably couldn’t care less. Seems like the only thing on their minds is making a quick buck off folks like us, or worse, just pestering us for no good reason. Sometimes I wish one of these callers would show up in person - I'd be ready for a proper confrontation!

I just got another call from 01384924721, same number as before. This time it was some robotic voice that just said goodbye and then hung up. Tried ringing back but the line was dead. Honestly, the internet provider really ought to put a stop to these kinds of calls. Landlines these days are rubbish. Goodbye for real this time, take care. Oh, and one more goodbye just for good measure.

Someone phoned me saying they were from BT. I wasn’t convinced at first, so he tried to prove he worked there. He went on about how every computer has a little light on it. The call kept cutting out a bit, so I said sorry and hung up. If I have any trouble when I try online later, I’ll look into getting some help.
