It was silent and then they just ended the call. I looked up the number and loads of others had the same experience - seems like a scam! I’ve blocked it now. Honestly, I’m thankful for this website and others like it that help folks figure out which numbers are dodgy. I really think the government should step up and do more about these calls, as I’m sure plenty of people end up losing money to them.

I've received two silent calls from this number, once on Sunday the 13th and again today, Monday the 14th. Each time, the line went dead as soon as I answered. Does anyone know who this might be, and what steps I can take to prevent these irritating calls from happening again?

I’ve been receiving calls from this number quite often, but I’ve turned on the 'silence unknown callers' feature on my phone. Consequently, any numbers not saved in my contacts are sent straight to my voicemail, which has really cut down on the nuisance calls I used to get. Just thought I’d share that in case it might be of use to someone else!
