5 yearsSomebody rang claiming to be from BT, saying my router had a bunch of dodgy IPs linked to it. He asked me to open the command prompt so he could "fix" it and boost my security. After about ten minutes, I told him he was on speaker and I knew it was a scam, just playing along to waste his time so others wouldn’t get caught out. He got pretty annoyed and said he'd still get paid since it's his job and I was the one wasting time. I told him again, I’m on speaker and still working, so I’m not wasting my time, just his. Then he just hung up. I could hear loads of others in the back doing the same scam calls. Seriously, why aren't the UK cops cracking down on these scammers?
