Some bloke rang pretending to be from Virgin Media, saying I could get a huge discount on my bill. I asked him to confirm which area I'm in first, but he said he needed my surname before he could say. I told him he should have that info already and asked again about my area. He said that was his "security check" and questioned why I was asking. So I told him he sounded like a right scammer and then he just cut me off.

Some random number from Dudley rang me, and honestly, my gut feeling is it's just one of those dodgy scam calls. I doubt it's a proper company, especially since it’s Good Friday and most legit businesses wouldn’t be working today.
