got a call earlier today (26/09/2018), left a voicemail claiming my ip was hacked and they’d fix it for no charge, sounded like a woman with an american accent. i figured it’s probably a scam so didn’t bother replying. planning to get in touch with my internet provider and router company just to check if there’s any truth to it.

Today, I received a missed call (26/09/2018) and there was a message left behind. The caller, who spoke with a distinctly American female accent, alleged that my IP address had been breached and offered to rectify it at no charge. I'm quite convinced this is a scam, so I decided not to engage further. I plan to reach out to my internet service provider and the company that made my router to see if they can shed any light on this situation.
