7 yearsI had an interesting encounter with a caller who seemed to be using multiple numbers. The initial call came through on 01023195395, but after I greeted them a few times and received nothing but silence, I decided to cut the call. Almost immediately, they rang me back from a different number, demanding to know why I had hung up. I explained that I couldn't hear a soul on the line. He insisted that he had been saying hello repeatedly in a rather aggressive tone. I replied that the line was dead, which prompted him to claim, in a thickly accented English, that he was from Microsoft. I retorted, "No way, you're a scam artist, so clear off!" He continued his angry tirade, so I terminated the call once more. Honestly, this behaviour was nothing like what you'd expect from a legitimate company like Microsoft-it was downright dodgy.
