I received a rather odd phone call earlier today from a woman with what I can only describe as an Asian accent, claiming she had an exclusive phone contract with O2 to mark the upcoming World Cup. I made it quite clear that I suspected her of being a fraudster. She even suggested sending me a confirmation text, but I made sure to send her packing with a few choice words!

Got a call from someone saying they were with EE and wanted to upgrade my plan. I'm not even with EE, so it was obvious he was faking it. Honestly, I'm so tired of these scammers preying on people, especially those who might not be able to defend themselves. It's really upsetting.

So, I got a call saying I'm getting 30% off my monthly bill from O2. Right after I hung up, the same bloke rang me again but this time from a different number, 01886 521080. Didn't fancy that so I've blocked both numbers now!

Claimed to be representing O2. When I mentioned they might be con artists, they insisted they'd send an official text from O2. I pointed out that there’s plenty of chatter online about the O2 scammers sending messages that look like they’re from the company, and just like that, they ended the call. Odd, isn’t it?

Allegedly associated with Currys PC World, this lot appear to be nothing more than fraudsters peddling bogus phone contracts in a bid to pilfer your banking information. Best to steer well clear!
