TOTALLY A RIP OFF... My mum's home phone rang, an automated message claiming she'd just spent £1000 and to call back on the number provided!! If I hadn’t been around to warn her, she probably would've called them straight away! This is awful, loads of folks are probably falling for this rubbish!! Just hung up on them immediately...

I got a call saying my Visa card was charged £1100 for an overseas transfer and £300 on Amazon. Funny thing is, an earlier call came from another number with the exact same story. So, I decided to check out this number as well, and it popped up in the British phone book with a proper name and address attached to it.

I rang my credit card company after this call and it’s definitely a scam. Best thing is to just hang up straight away and block the number, don’t give them any details.

Got a dodgy automated call on my home phone from 01382657206 telling me a payment had been made to Amazon and some weird foreign payment of £1000 on my card. They said to press 1 if it wasn’t me. I quickly phoned my bank on my mobile and they said there were no such transactions. Definitely a scam call!

It was one of those automated messages claiming there were two payments from Amazon taken out of my account - one for £1000 and another for £500. I ended the call straight away. Tried ringing my bank after but my landline wasn’t working properly. Had a look at my Amazon and bank accounts and everything was fine. Definitely a scam, don’t bother answering. Really horrible stuff.

Got an automated call on my home phone today, 18th May. The voice told me there were two payments from my bank to Amazon - one £1000 and another for £500.
I ended the call straight away and then tried calling my bank but my landline wasn’t working.
I’ve since checked both my Amazon account and my bank statements, everything’s fine.
This is definitely a scam, just ignore and hang up.
