5 yearsGot a dodgy call from some bloke claiming my Windows licence had run out and demanded details about my PC. Thing is, I only use Apple stuff and haven’t had Windows on any machine for over five years. Let’s just say I wasn’t exactly polite, especially hearing his accent which definitely wasn’t from around here. I’ve reported the number and all the info to BT. Total scam, no doubt about it - scam, scam, scam!AppleBT5 yearsGot a call from this number on Friday, 23rd July 2021, somewhere between 10 and 11 in the morning. The person on the line didn't sound British at all - not one bit - and he claimed that my Microsoft agreement had run its course. He wanted to fish for details about my computer, which I found rather odd since I solely use Apple products with, well, Apple software. He was banging on about Windows, and it's been donkey's years since I've had any Microsoft software - certainly not in the last five years. The number popping up was 01382477311, and as it’s from Dundee, I pressed accept. But I knew straight away it was a scammer. After I stumped him by pointing out that I don’t have Windows, he prattled on for about twenty seconds before asking if I agreed with his nonsense. I told him absolutely not, but invited him to continue his spiel. Eventually, I was no longer entertained by his drivel, and I let him have a piece of my mind, peppered with a few choice words, telling him to do everyone a favour and just vanish from the planet.MicrosoftAppleDundeeSubmit Your Own Report (01382 477311)
