01382805022 Don’t pick up if this number rings you, it’s a complete con. They attempted to snag my bank info during the call. I played along for about 38 minutes just to waste their time. Eventually, the woman on the phone got really mad ’cause I refused to give them anything. I ended up telling her straight to buzz off.

Got a call from someone in Scotland claiming to do a survey about pain. They were using my Dad's details, even though he died over three years ago. Looks like they just buy lists with names and phone numbers and then ring folks up pretending to be from different places. I’m getting quite a few of these calls from Scotland lately - seems like India is the main source for most scam or cold calls these days.

Caller claimed I’d filled out a health survey and mentioned feeling pain, which I definitely don’t recall doing. They kept pushing, saying they needed locals to try out some pain relief gadget. Asked for my age too. I told them I wasn’t keen. At first it wasn’t clear it was a scam since they said they worked for the NHS, which made it sound more legit.

I received a call earlier today, but as soon as I picked up, the caller disconnected. Following my usual routine with numbers I don’t recognise, I held off speaking first, hoping they would say something. However, after a lengthy silence and just the irritating ringing sound, I decided to hang up myself. I'll be blocking that number without a second thought!

Just had a similar experience, mate. A bloke with a Scottish twang called me back, claiming to follow up on a survey I supposedly filled out. He was rather evasive about how he got hold of my number and details. Next thing I know, he’s suggesting a visit to check out some health gear. Politely turned him down, and that was that - call ended.

Just got a call from a Scottish guy a little while ago talkin about Pure independence, about some health survey I supposedly did last year about aches and pains - which I never did and don't even have. So he reckons it must be my husband. Nah, definitely not. Keeps asking if I'm positive I ain’t got COPD, all pushy and condescending. Feel bad for older folks who get hassled like this.

Got a call about a health survey from a bloke with a Scottish accent like over a year ago. He couldn’t properly tell me who it was for apart from saying Mr & Mrs ###########. Honestly, watch out, sounds like a total scam!!! BE CAREFUL FOLKS!!!!!!!

I received a call yesterday, and it turned out that my husband, who has just been released from the hospital after major cancer surgery, was the one who took the call. In his delicate condition, he mistook the nature of the call, believing it related to his medical treatment. As a result, he unwittingly agreed to have someone come to our home for an hour to "demonstrate" a product with no strings attached, under the guise of providing feedback for their research on muscle pain in those over sixty. Curious, I then received a follow-up call to confirm our address. Thankfully, I answered this time and spoke with a chap sporting a thick Scottish accent, who mentioned that my husband had completed a questionnaire. I quickly set them straight about the situation and cancelled the appointment. Oddly enough, that same number has attempted to reach us again, yet they leave me hanging when I pick up.

Proper cheeky bloke. He reckoned no one’s ever said they don’t bother with surveys. Told him he’s been fed a load of rubbish. I never take part in any of that. Then he had the audacity to ask why I was so wary πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Told him I don’t trust anyone calling my number and to not call back ever!!

Someone called claiming I’d completed a health survey about aches and pains, which I never did. When I denied it, they said I had asthma. They already had all my info like my name, address, and my landline number. I blocked them but they keep ringing every day. My phone doesn’t actually ring but their number still shows up. This feels like harassment, and the fact they know so much about me is worrying. I’m going to report them to the ICO.

Just like others have said, I got a call from a Scottish bloke called Liam, who somehow knew my name and my address. He mentioned some survey or questionnaire he claimed I filled out about a year back. He asked me questions about asthma and COPD even though I said I didn’t have any pains or anything. I’ve blocked the number 1572 now and flagged it as risky cos it’s well creepy he had all my details like that.

Got a call from a bloke called Liam, sounded Scottish. Same old story. He said I’d filled out some questionnaire ‘a year ago’ about aches and pains in the house, maybe arthritis. He even knew my name and my wife's. He kept pushing, but I told him I didn’t recall any questionnaire, didn’t know him, and hadn’t asked for the call. Told him I was ending the call. He kept going on, but I just hung up. Number’s blocked now.

Got a call from someone with a Geordie accent, who kept saying my name and address, claiming I’d filled out a health survey about aches, pains, arthritis and stuff about a year ago. I never had. Then they changed tack, asking about asthma, COPD, and if anyone else in the house was unwell. I said no and ended the call. Bit worried they already had my details, so I’d say this call was pretty dodgy.

Got a call from a guy with a Scottish accent, said some company name I didn’t catch, said I’d filled out a survey last year about pains and arthritis. I’m pretty sure I never did that. Then he asked if maybe someone else did it for me, and he even gave my name and address. I told him I had no clue what he meant and I wasn’t interested, then ended the call. I wish I’d asked where he got my info from but I just wanted to end it quickly. Feels dodgy to me since they clearly got my details without telling me.

I just received a rather unexpected call from a chap sporting a thick Scottish accent. He claimed it was about some health survey that my late husband supposedly participated in the previous year. When I told him he must have mixed up the details, he remained adamant that he was right. He kept pushing to speak with my husband, but I had to clarify, yet again, that there was no point in doing so since my husband passed away over three years ago! What a strange situation indeed!

I foolishly let a visitor in yesterday who claimed he had a pad to ease my arthritis discomfort. But it wasn’t what I expected - it turned out to be a mattress topper he wanted to put on my bed. Then he planned to sit there with me for an hour, asking if I noticed any improvement while lying on it. As a 70-year-old living alone, I ended up quite frustrated and told him to pack up and leave. This behaviour is completely unacceptable. WATCH OUT!

Just like the last one, I told them no and couldn’t recall filling out any form. They said I’d checked the aches and pains section, but I had no memory of that. The moment I picked up, the caller just dropped the line. I looked up the number here and chose not to ring back. Makes me think it could be one of those scams where they hit you with huge charges if you call back? This reminded me of a similar time long ago when I called them back and got a voicemail telling me to wait, racking up crazy charges while I was just hanging on. Got a call from some spammer saying I did a health survey last year, kept asking stuff like 'Is this Mr - ', 'Is your first name - ', and if I had any aches or pains - the kind of questions you’d probably say yes to without thinking. It’s the same old trick, total con. What’s worse is they’re actually scaring my wife now. She reckons they’re targeting us 'cause we’re elderly. No voicemail this time. Got a BT Call Blocker to get rid of annoying calls, it only lets through people who say who they are. Saw this number popped up as blocked, looked it up here and yep, just another spam call. I've gone ahead and blacklisted it for good now.

They said it was a health survey, not some cold call, yeah right, ha, ha.

Someone rang me claiming I’d joined a survey - which I definitely didn’t. They even mentioned a specific date, time, and length of the call, but I was away on holiday then. They said they were from Pure Independence and that the survey was about aches and pains. Honestly, the biggest ache is getting calls like this. They gave me their number as 01382 622 124 and their website as [#]pureindependence[###]. Obvious sales pitch trying to sell beds and chairs. Blocked straight away.

Every time I pick up without saying hi, there's just quiet for a bit, then a voice asks to speak to someone. I shouted back “Who’s this?” real loud and they hung up straight away. Definitely sketchy, so I blocked the number.

Called but nobody spoke when I answered. Given the earlier messages, I've decided to block this number.

Didn’t pick up and no voicemail either. Looked it up here and now I’m sure I won’t be ringing back.

Like others have mentioned, they called me back about some fake health questionnaire.

Fake call! Some health questionnaire rubbish.

Someone rang me saying I filled out a health check form ages back and that I’d ticked a box about having pains occasionally. Megan explained it was done a while ago so I might not recall it. I asked whether it was a paper form or online, and she said it was done over the phone. I told her we don’t usually share that kind of info with strangers on calls. She insisted it was accurate.

Called me a few times so I thought I’d hear what he had to say. Mentioned some health survey I supposedly did, which I definitely never did, then kept probing about any health problems I might have. After that, he offered to send someone round to discuss how they could assist me. I just told him the best help would be to stop ringing and then hung up.

Thanks for the heads up! I didn’t answer, but just the other day I took part in a real health survey called The Million Woman Project. Could’ve easily fallen for that scam if I wasn’t careful.

Had a rather peculiar phone call at 4:58 PM on the 18th of January, 2019. A chap with a distinct Scottish lilt rang up, claiming he was following up on a conversation we purportedly had a year prior. He proceeded to inquire about my well-being, to which I pointed out that I'd never actually had any prior chats with him. I also made it clear that I’m signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, meaning he shouldn't be bothering me at all. His cheeky response was that I was simply squandering his time! So, I told him to kindly remove himself from my call.

Got a call at 4.37 pm from a Scottish bloke claiming I’d done some medical survey, but I definitely hadn’t. I don't usually bother with surveys at all. Another one straight to blocked.

I received a call this afternoon even though I'm listed with the Telephone Preference Service. As soon as I picked up, the caller disconnected straight away. There was a lot of background chatter, so it seemed likely it was from a call centre!

A bunch of muppets from Scotland, the only decent thing they’ve got is that Dundee cake. They really need to stop bothering the English!

Sounds like a phishing scam to me. They claimed I completed a survey ages ago about having aches and pains. Complete rubbish. Still, gotta admit, clever way to start the chat 😎

Got a call from a Scottish lady claiming I filled out a survey last year, i told her that wasnt true at all, what a load of nonsense. Can’t she find a proper job instead? Really puts Dundee in a bad light.

A chap with a Scottish accent called us, requesting that we participate in a telephone health survey, claiming we'd taken part in one about a year ago. We insisted that we hadn’t done anything of the sort. He attempted to debate the matter with us before ultimately deciding to hang up.

I tried saying hi while she was talking to her mate, and she just cut the call off on me.

I didn't really expect her to pick up, but when I said hello she suddenly freaked out and ended the call. She was going on about her weekend with her mates before that. No clue what the call was about.

I got this True Call thing that blocks robocalls, cost me about a hundred quid but honestly super worth it. It’s stopped loads of those annoying calls from getting through.

This woman, who seemed a bit unhinged, called me and started singing some weird stuff that wasn’t pleasant at all. I decided to ring her back to ask what she said, but she just hung up on me. Then she called me again and insulted me with some really rude words. I’ve kept her number and have reported her behaviour to the proper people. Honestly, she should probably get checked out by a doctor, she’s clearly got issues.

Got a call from a polite guy with a Scottish accent, going on about some health survey I'd apparently completed before. I told him straight up I’d never done any such thing and wasn’t interested in taking part. It’s a real shame he has to waste his time fibbing just to make a few quid.
