01382250391 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 01382250391 👆 is reported as a nuisance telemarketing number associated with a company claiming people completed health surveys a year prior, despite many recipients denying any involvement. Callers often display knowledge of personal details like names and addresses, causing concern about data sources and privacy breaches. The calls frequently involve a Scottish-accented woman or man probing about aches, pains, or medical conditions, purportedly for follow-up or product offers. Many recipients report calls bypassing the Telephone Preference Service, hanging up abruptly when challenged, or being unhelpful when asked to remove numbers from their lists. Older and vulnerable individuals are particularly targeted and confused. Several users advise blocking the number and reporting it to authorities, as it appears linked to aggressive, intrusive marketing rather than genuine health services.

Just like everyone else has said, total nuisance calling.

I received a call from a lady sporting a Scottish accent, asserting rather forcefully that I had filled in a medical survey last year. No matter how much I insisted I hadn’t, she wouldn’t relent. She even had my address, albeit with an incorrect name attached. Just another bunch of con artists trying their luck!

I've had quite a similar encounter, albeit with an unexpected twist! After completing a follow-up survey for my recent hip operation, I presumed the call was somehow linked to that. However, I was left puzzled as to why it pertained to someone in Dundee. When the caller began to delve into other clinical topics in a rather probing manner, I made it clear that I found it rather uncomfortable, and she promptly hung up. Thankfully, it appears to be a mere coincidence that my survey completion triggered this call, and no, the hospital didn’t pass on my details (thank goodness!). It’s concerning to think about vulnerable elderly individuals living alone or those with memory issues who could easily be swayed by such tactics. Despite being registered with the Telephone Preference Service and attempting to opt-out by pressing 8 or 9, it seems utterly pointless. So, how did they even obtain my number in the first place? Such practices definitely need to be put to an end, post-haste!

I’m absolutely exasperated with these dodgy phone calls that come in at about half past nine in the morning. This morning, though, it was eerily quiet on the other end before they hung up. It’s all too clear they’re just trying to confirm that my number is still active so they can keep bombarding me with more nonsense in the future.

I received a call today from someone who insisted that I had completed a survey last year. I tried to explain that I hadn’t, but she was quite insistent that I had. What really threw me off was when she rattled off my entire address and mentioned I live by myself, which felt rather unsettling. I genuinely want to figure out who these people are. The caller had a rather pronounced Scottish accent, which stuck in my mind.

I got a call from a woman with a Scottish accent who claimed she was from some kind of independence support service. She said I’d filled out a survey about aches and pains about a year ago, and they were just checking back. Thing is, we never do phone surveys so that was a bit fishy. What really threw me was that she knew both mine and my husband’s names plus our home address. We’re registered with the telephone preference service, but it doesn’t stop these annoying calls from coming through.

I also got one of those calls claiming I had finished a survey. The last time they rang, I was rather short with them, but this time I made it clear that they'd better remove my name from their records.

A lady with a clear voice called my elderly mum from 01382 250391 about an ECG she supposedly had recently. She asked mum how old she'd be on her next birthday and also enquired about dad’s age, then just cut off. About thirty minutes later, mum tried calling back and a bloke answered, but we couldn’t make out what he was saying. She gave it another go a couple of hours later, and the same woman from before answered but ended up hanging up on her.

On 11.11.15 i got a call from a woman who said something like “you mentioned having aches and pains, so i’m calling to check in.” When i asked her how she knew that, she claimed i’d filled out some kind of questionnaire, but she wouldn’t say where or when. Every time i pressed for more details, she just refused and said she’d remove my name from their list. However, when i asked her to completely delete my details, she ignored me. I’m pretty careful about who i give my number to, only genuine companies, and i always make sure to tick the boxes saying not to be contacted.

I received a phone call today, the 4th of November, 2015, where the caller insisted that I had filled out a survey regarding some aches and discomfort nearly a year back. When I responded with, "I really don't believe that's the case," the woman abruptly ended the call. Strangely enough, they had my name, house number, and postcode.

Received a call from what they claimed was "Pure Independence" - they were somehow aware of my name and mentioned I'd filled out a health survey about a year back, which I definitely haven't done. As soon as they began tossing survey questions my way, I decided to end the conversation.

I've had a right bother with these callers! Every time I inform them that the individual they're after is unavailable, they just cut the line without so much as a word. Quite rude, really!

Today, I got a rather dubious call claiming that I had taken part in a health survey last year. I promptly informed the caller that I hadn’t, to which they rather rudely ended the conversation. I’ve had a gutful of these unsolicited calls! They’re clearly dodging the rules about preferred calls and honestly, they ought to face some serious consequences-perhaps locked away and displayed as a warning around the ancient Dundee gates!

I received a rather peculiar call from a company regarding a survey I supposedly completed a year ago, which was all about discomforts and ailments. Just as I was about to express my confusion, the doorbell rang, and I quickly ended the call. Honestly, I have no recollection of ever filling out such a survey!

This evening, I received a rather peculiar call from a woman who appeared to have quite an extensive understanding of my health situation. She mentioned that a man would be reaching out to pay me a visit tomorrow. Being on my own, I'm rather at a loss as to what steps to take next. Looking back, I realise I've rather naively accepted this invitation.

I had an intriguing encounter with a woman claiming to represent Pure Independence. She inquired if I remembered filling out a "health questionnaire" the previous year. I was taken aback - I've never filled out any such thing! Clearly, it was a ruse aimed at bewildering those who might struggle with their memory. I placed the phone on the windowsill and carried on with my household tasks. I kept her on the line for quite a while before finally hanging up. What a farce!

Today, I had a rather peculiar phone call from someone inquiring about my discomforts and ailments. They seemed to possess my name and home address, which was quite unsettling. After the conversation, I dialled 1471 and got the number 01382250391. It’s worth mentioning that I’m listed as ex-directory, so I’m baffled as to how they obtained my details.

A chap called me inquiring whether I recalled participating in a survey regarding independence from about a year back. Initially, I assumed he was referring to the referendum, but I was utterly baffled when he started probing into matters relating to aches and pains. I explained that I really had no time for this nonsense and promptly ended the call.

Today, my partner got a call from this number, and they seemed to have all his details, including his full name. They inquired about his health and how he was finding his medication. It’s quite unsettling, especially since we’re ex-directory. Thankfully, he didn’t share any personal information, but given his current health issues, it’s left him feeling rather anxious. Who could have possibly disclosed such sensitive information?

I had a couple of missed calls from this firm, so I decided to give them a ring back. I made it clear that I'd registered with the Telephone Preference Service, only to be met with the ridiculous claim that I had actually requested a call from them, which was absolutely untrue. After a bit of back and forth, I eventually managed to speak to a supervisor who just spouted nonsense. After some persistence, I convinced him to take my details off their list. Subsequently, I lodged a complaint with the TPS about them - the company in question is Pure Independence, located up in Dundee, Scotland.

I had a phone call this afternoon around a quarter to five from a rather courteous young chap. He mentioned that I had completed a health questionnaire nearly a year ago. However, when I informed him that I hadn't participated in any such survey, he apologised for the inconvenience and promptly ended the call. Quite strange, really!

I received a call from this number earlier, and the chap on the line claimed he had a conversation with me about my health a year back. I informed him that I had never spoken to him, and of course, my health matters are certainly not his concern! He promptly disconnected the call. It really vexes me how these individuals seem to have access to my name, address, and phone number-nothing feels private anymore, does it?

I had a rather similar experience today on the 10th of June, 2015, at precisely 14:02. I chose not to pick up the phone, and the line dropped as soon as my voicemail activated. Curious, I used 1471 to find out the number and decided to ring it back. A gentleman answered with a prominent Scottish brogue. When I inquired about the name of the company, he mentioned something about "independence." He claimed I had completed a questionnaire about discomforts and pains a year ago and wanted to know if I was aware of the causes and whether they had subsided. When I pressed him about whether he was attempting to sell anything, he assured me he wasn't. I then requested him to remove my details from his calling list. Just like other individuals he had contacted, when I traced his number through your service and called back, he appeared to know my name from his caller ID system. It seems wise to have this number blocked entirely. I trust this information is of assistance to others - Marg.

I had a rather peculiar phone call today where the caller was inquiring about the name of my landlord, who hasn’t resided here for quite some time. Typically, I ask for the identity of the caller, and they introduced themselves as someone from a health organisation, suggesting we had a chat nearly a year ago and asked if I recalled that conversation. Naturally, I pressed them on whether they had contacted me first or if I had reached out to them. Their response was that they had previously called me at this number. However, I can confidently state that we have never had any such dialogue. It seems quite apparent to me that this is a scam aimed at the elderly, attempting to exploit any lapses in memory to suggest that an agreement had been made previously, thereby framing this call as merely a follow-up.
