This really made me sick! If my mum had picked up, I’m sure she’d have been fooled by it, just like loads of older folks probably are!

Got a voicemail warning that my card was used for two big charges - one was from Amazon and the other looked like a bank transfer. The message said if I wanted to speak to them, I should press 1. Definitely sounded like one of those bank fraud scams.

I tried calling back but nobody picked up, it sounded like they were talking about some Amazon charge and something from abroad. I ended the call pretty quick. Maggie Carter

TOTAL SCAM! Got a call saying my car was blocked because of a £500 fraud that supposedly happened on Amazon and eBay. I didn’t pick up or press anything and they just hung up. When I tried calling back, guess what? The number’s not even real!

Got a call from 'bank security' earlier, it was totally automated. They said there were some Amazon charges on my card from overseas. Definitely a scam - they didn't say which bank or give any proper ID, nothing at all!

They claimed to be representatives from my bank's security team, saying there had been a couple of dubious transactions linked to my account. They mentioned two payments - one to Amazon and another to an overseas entity - and were quite insistent about it.

I didn’t pick up since I had no idea who it was. They left a voicemail saying something about big charges on ‘my card’ like Amazon and stuff, telling me to press buttons to cancel or talk to someone. Sounds totally dodgy, definitely a scam.
