I picked up the phone and there was no-one on the other end. This is the same number that kept calling me last week and every day for a few days before that. They’re ringing about a free survey for insulating the loft. I already told them I’m on the TPS list and that calling me is against the law if they actually bothered to check it. They just completely ignore my requests to take me off their call list and don’t seem to care about the TPS at all.

I received a rather unsettling call from a woman who seemed to know my name. When I expressed my frustration over these incessant scam calls, she abruptly hung up-sounded like she had an Indian accent. Curiously, when I dialled 1471 to trace the number, it came back as non-existent. Just before that, I had another dodgy call claiming to be from Amazon, stating they had charged me for something, even though I don’t even use that service!

Block the number and report it to 7726 - that’s not a police helpline though. You might wanna write to your local MP too, asking why we can’t report scams straight to the police’s 'action fraud' site anymore. Also, question why our phone providers haven’t put in Caller ID Authentication tech, which could cut down those scam calls quite a bit. If you get scam texts, forward them to 7726. And if you come across scam emails or take screenshots of scammy texts, send them over to the police at '[email protected]' so they can look into it.

Got hit up by yet another scammer. What’s actually cut down loads on these annoying calls, for me anyway, is just letting out a loud whistle right into the phone. Seems to freak them out or something, cuz it’s worked most of the time. Honestly, give it a go, it might clear your phone too. I reckon they’ve blacklisted me by now, haha.

Had a call from Helen, says she’s with some company doing loft insulation fogging. This is like the fourth time this week they’ve rung me! Told them right away the first time that I’m on the Telephone Preference Service list but they just keep ringing. I’ve finally reported them to the TPS now.

The person on the other end had an accent that seemed international. They stated they were reaching out for the Local Housing Authority concerning some maintenance work I had supposedly requested. Honestly, that’s a lie! Clearly, they're just a pack of con artists!

A lady rang me saying she was from the Local Housing Authority regarding a repair job I'd supposedly put in. But when she couldn’t even name the County I live in, I just ended the call. She almost seemed legit, though her accent definitely wasn't local.

So this caller was obviously from abroad, and all she managed to say was just “Hi!!” before I cut her off with a sharp “GO AWAY!!!” I could hear the automated dialing going on in the background - isn’t that illegal nowadays? 🤔 Honestly, who wants to deal with this nonsense? Got a call on our landline from a Scottish lady, the number showed as Dundee. She claimed to be from some sort of survey company and asked for my wife. When I asked what it was regarding, she just said she'd call back later and then cut off straight away. Not happening, we've blocked the number already. We're on the TPS list too.
