Received a rather dubious call on my home phone from this number. An automated voice informed me that my IP address had been accessed by unauthorised individuals from multiple countries and that my IP was going to be altered. It then prompted me to "Press 1 to speak with a technician". Naturally, I terminated the call and attempted to return it, only to be greeted by BT’s message stating the number wasn’t recognised, and to please try again. When I dialled 1471, all I got back was the engaged tone. It’s blatantly a scam... likely aimed at tricking unsuspecting people into giving away their IP details and passwords.
