This morning, around 8 o’clock, I got an automated call from someone claiming to be my internet provider. They said there had been suspicious activity on my account and that my internet would be cut off within two days unless I got in touch with them. The phone number they gave was one of those cheeky premium rate ones. Thankfully, I smelt a rat and didn’t ring back, as it would’ve likely landed me with a hefty bill. Just to be safe, I’ve let my actual ISP know about it so they can alert others if they want to.
