01381303037 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 01381303037 👆 is reported as a persistent scam involving automated calls with American-accented voices claiming to be HMRC representatives, often named Claire Williams or Michael Johnson. Callers allege outstanding tax debts from past years, threaten legal action, arrest warrants, or bailiff visits, and demand immediate payment, frequently instructing victims to buy vouchers or pay via unusual methods. Victims report no official correspondence received and note that genuine HMRC communication would be written, not threatening by phone. Multiple comments confirm these calls originate from fraudulent sources, with some linking them to overseas call centres. The consensus advice is to avoid responding, never disclose personal information, and report the calls to authorities or official fraud channels.

I got a call on my landline, so I phoned them back using my mobile. They claimed I owed HMRC a massive £6000+ for the period between 2013 and 2017, and said they were about to send bailiffs to my home with an arrest warrant. They even mentioned I'd have to cover court fees of 20 grand! I mentioned I’d only been 16 in 2013, so there’s no way I could owe anything like that. They said they’d look into it and ring me back. It was only after hanging up I realised just how daft the whole thing sounded. Of course, I never heard from them again!

Got a call from some bloke named Michael - honestly, worst scam attempt I’ve heard. I called him back just to have a chat, and he actually ended up confessing he was trying to rip me off. What a muppet!

Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC saying I owed over £7000 in taxes and if I didn’t pay right away, it would jump to £45,000. They refused to send any proof by post or email, but said they'd send the police to my house instead. Total scam, it needs to be shut down for good!!!

I got a call from someone saying I had to get in touch with Clair Williams or I'd be hit with a big fine from HMRC. The lawyer said I should ring 01381303037, but the number's from Fortrose, Scotland. Seems dodgy to me. I never called back and don’t plan to!

Got a call from this number earlier but didn’t pick up because it seemed suspicious. Later, I listened to the voicemail and it was supposedly from Officer Claire Williams at HMRC about some unresolved issue. They even warned me about possible legal trouble. I also got a similar call from a Welsh number, 01550400019.

On 25th February 2019 around half past midday, I received a voicemail from a robotic voice saying it was Claire Williams representing HMRC. The message urged me to ring back straight away or get a solicitor involved. When I called back, a man named Michael Williams answered and started threatening me with court and even jail time unless I paid £6995 within a few days. He told me to get my family to help with the cash. He even warned that if the money wasn’t paid, I’d be arrested in under two hours. Absolutely mad!

Got a call from some bloke called Michael Johnson who said the police were gonna show up at my door with an arrest warrant because I supposedly owe nearly £5,000 in taxes from 2013 to 2017. Thing is, I actually work as a payroll manager, so I know my taxes are all paid up. They also threatened to take my passport, which freaked me out a bit at first. Turns out it’s just another scam, so I’m not handing over a penny!

Got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC about a tax debt I owed. They insisted I had to go to a nearby shop and buy ITUNES vouchers to clear a £4000 bill. Honestly, I don’t see why I’d panic - no way I’m ending up behind bars today! :)

Got a call from 01381 303037, said it was HMRC but spoke with this weird American accent. They kept telling me I needed a solicitor, but the voicemail sounded like it was cut off halfway through, no clue what they were even on about! This is from Fortrose, Scotland apparently. Reminded me of that dodgy FedEx email saying they couldn’t deliver a parcel because my address was missing - total scam. Just ignore, it’s another crook trying their luck! Don’t get caught out xx

Got a call from 01381303037, some bloke pretending to be from HMRC. They were threatening me with court for unpaid income tax, which I definitely paid. As soon as I told them that, they just hung up on me. Looks like a total scam, so watch out!

Earlier today I got a call from someone claiming to be Claire Williams from HMRC about some supposed unpaid issue. Turns out it was a scam coming from a call centre in India. If you decide to ring them back, definitely dial 141 first to block your number, otherwise they'll keep a record of your phone. Also, if your number shows as private, they usually just hang up straight away.

Totally a scam!! I rang them back since it showed the company name on my caller ID. The people on the line said their names were John Parker and Michael Johnson and claimed to be from HMRC handling my case. They kept pushing for a payment but I refused and told them to send any official letters through the post. They even threatened to take me to court and stuff. I’m definitely reporting this to the police and managed to record parts of the call as proof!!!

I just got a call from someone saying they were with HMRC about some sort of issue I supposedly have. They sounded proper official and kept talking about a case against me I had no idea about. Honestly, felt a bit worried at first until I realised it might be one of those scam calls. If you get a call like that, be careful and don't give out any info!
