Somebody rang me up pretending to be from BT, saying they wanted to test my internet speed. They tried to convince me it was legit by offering a secret code to prove it wasn’t a scam. When I asked a few questions to check if it was genuine, they got quite annoyed and told me to pay attention because it was important to share my internet speed with them. They said they’d send me a link to check it out. I ended the call when they accused me of not listening properly. The caller had a strong Indian accent that was hard to follow.
