I received a rather dodgy automated message claiming that a transaction exceeding £1000 was made on Amazon using my card details, and it proceeded to ask for personal information. The whole thing reeked of a scam! My mum, who doesn't even have an Amazon account, was in a right flap until I reassured her it was a scam attempt.

I decided to do a quick search on the number and found it linked to some random address in Devizes, Wiltshire. Clearly, it’s a fabricated location and has nothing to do with Amazon whatsoever! Quite the cheek of these scammers!
