Got a call from what looked like a number local to me so I answered. The call was a recorded voice saying someone had attempted a £300 payment on a card, then told me to press 1 to approve it or another number to speak to customer service. I’m no fool and didn’t press anything; real banks don’t ring up like that. If you press a button, you could end up on a pricey premium rate line or even give scammers info so they can steal from your bank accounts!
