I received a recorded message claiming that my IP address had been compromised and to press 1 to speak with a specialist. I can only assume this is either a costly premium rate call or potentially part of a more elaborate scam. Proceed with caution!

Got a voicemail sayin my IP address got hacked and it’ll be switched soon, press 1 to speak to some IT specialist. Pretty clear it’s a scam tryin to get you onto a pricey phone line. The annoying part is BT’s call protect is no use here, they only block up to 100 numbers and mine’s already maxed out.
