On the 2nd of September, 2020, I got a call from 01377 258618. At first, the line was filled with a bunch of people laughing wildly in the background, and no one said a word for a good few minutes. Eventually, a bloke called James, claiming to be from Opus, came on and said he was ringing about the energy supply to my business. He actually knew my name and the right business address, which was pretty unsettling. Then he started laughing, put on this silly fake Brummie accent, and just hung up. Honestly, it was bizarre that this muppet knew both my details like that.

So, I got a call from 01377258618 saying they were from Engie, which they claimed was going to be my new electricity provider. They told me I couldn't switch to Engie because of the smart meter I have installed. According to them, only UK Power could arrange a new supplier for me due to the smart meter situation, and they promised UK Power would get in touch. Later that same day, I received another call from 08435574446, supposedly from UK Power. I can’t remember if I mentioned to the person from the 08435574446 number the supplier I was actually planning to switch to.

Network Power were seriously rude to me, kept going on like I had no clue what they were saying. They wanted [###] to give them info about the owner because apparently there was money owed about High Street electric bills. I live in a private home so watch out for this.

Got a call from someone who refused to tell me who they were. They kept saying my address was in SW1, and as soon as I pointed out that their number had the same area code, they just cut me off. Really impolite!

I got a call from some company calling themselves 'uk power network' - not to be mixed up with the proper 'UK Power Networks' by any means. The bloke on the phone never said who he was or what the call was about. He started asking questions about a property my business doesn’t even use anymore. When I didn’t say where we had shifted to, he got a bit pushy, so I just ended the call. After that, I rang up UK Power Networks directly, and they confirmed they know about this company and said they have no connection with them whatsoever.
