Got a call from someone wanting to talk to whoever handles the phone bill. They then started rattling off a load of technical mumbo jumbo that made no sense. I told them I wasn’t bothered and ended the call. They rang me two more times right after but stopped when I didn’t pick up.

This number didn’t show up on BT Call Guardian, so I’m guessing it’s either a telemarketer or a scammer. I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now.

BEWARE OF AMAZON CALLS! They ask you to press one to talk, but whatever you do, don’t press anything or even pick up. Lucky for them, they messed with the wrong person this time. If you get any dodgy calls like these, report them straight away to ----- [email protected] and make sure to inform Action Fraud as well. Stay safe!

Got a call on my home phone saying my Amazon Prime subscription had to be updated. I've gotten this same call loads of times before. When it’s just an automated voice, I usually hang up straight away! Just happened about 10 minutes ago.

Got a robo call saying my Amazon Prime was about to auto-renew and I needed to press 1 to speak to someone. Thing is, I've never even signed up for Amazon Prime ha!

Got a call from this number with an automated voice claiming to be from BT. It said my internet and landline would be cut off unless I spoke to an operator. They asked me to press 1 to continue or 2 to end my BT contract. Thing is, I’m not even a BT customer! Anyway, I pressed 1 and got through to a woman with an Indian accent who told me my internet was compromised and they needed to help fix it. I told her it was a total scam, that I’ve never had any deal with BT, and they shouldn’t be ringing people like this. After that, she just ended the call.

Supposedly from Amazon, but it's total rubbish since they’ve got no connection to my bank details at all.

Got three calls this morning from some automated voice saying my Amazon Prime subscription isn't set to auto-renew and they'll be taking some money from my account. Seriously annoyed now, this number definitely needs to be blocked. Would be great if they just gave out an address or something so folks could sort things on their own instead of these endless calls.

It’s a scam, just ignore the call. Amazon would never contact you like that. I got a couple of calls - one about a suspicious parcel and another saying they’d take £79.99 out of my bank. Don’t press anything, it’s definitely dodgy.

We ain't got Amazon Prime, so that just shows it's a scam. Why can't someone do something to put a stop to these people?

This morning, I received a call from 1377 232024 regarding my Amazon Prime subscription, claiming it was set to renew automatically. They said if I wished to prevent the renewal, I should press 1 to get in touch with an Amazon Prime Manager. Quite odd, I must say!

I received a call from 01377232024, claiming to be from Amazon Prime - just a pre-recorded message. They transferred me to an operator and eventually to a technician. Now, I’m not particularly brilliant with computers, so I spent nearly ten minutes attempting to get it all sorted. My machine wouldn’t allow the download and ultimately shut itself off. When I informed the ‘tech expert’ about it, all I got was an unimpressed ‘Oh.’ And just like that, the line went silent.

Got a robocall supposedly from Amazon saying my Prime subscription is about to renew automatically. They said to press one to cancel it, which felt really sketchy since my Prime isn't up for renewal anytime soon. Seems like a scam to me.

Should this individual insist they represent Amazon Prime, as others have mentioned, it's rather apparent that they are being disingenuous. My elderly brother-in-law, for instance, was unable to answer the call, and given his complete lack of familiarity with technology like computers and smartphones, it's clear that this is not a valid outreach.
